How can I help the Copperas Cove Rotary Club?

·         Volunteer your time on a service project

·         Make a financial contribution by participating in one of our fundraising events

·         Join our club

How often do you meet?

Our club meets once a week on Thursday at noon (except on holidays or other designated “no meeting” days).

What do you do at meetings?

Our meetings usually include a meal, brief business meeting and an interesting program. Programs feature guests that come from all walks of life who share a wide range of topics. Check out our speakers’ list for upcoming presentations.

Is attendance mandatory?

Rotary encourages attendance at all meetings; however, we're all busy people. One hundred percent attendance isn't mandatory, but we encourage you to attend meetings as often as possible. We try to be flexible, and there are many easy ways to make up missed meetings.

How much are dues and what benefits are included in membership?

We have multiple ways to fit Rotary into your budget. Tax deductible dues are $25 per month but can be paid quarterly or annually. Dues include also include a subscription to the Rotarian (a monthly magazine). Meals are not included in our dues. Other benefits include helping others, meeting leaders in your community, having fun, gaining leadership experience and working with really wonderful people who share your commitment to making a difference in the world.

What are some your local service projects?

Annual Dictionary Project: Our club distributes approximately 1200 dictionaries to Copperas Cove Independent School District third grade students and their teachers to promote basic literacy.

Elementary School Attendance Project: Every six weeks, we conduct a drawing from among elementary students who have perfect attendance. The winner receives their choice of a bicycle, tablet or scooter. The participating school changes from year to year and is selected because they have the lowest attendance rate in the district.

Copperas Cove High School (CCHS) Scholarship: Each year, we award two $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to further their education.

Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA): Each summer we sponsor two CCHS students who attend a week-long district leadership camp.
Recognition of Police and First Responder of the Quarter for commitment, dedication and contribution to our community.  We appreciate our city's finest for their outstanding service and dedication.

Lampasas Mission: We volunteer at the Lampasas Mission Food Bank which provides services to many Coryell County citizens.

Support Youth Organizations:  Flip pancakes for the annual Breakfast with Santa put on by the Copperas Cove Youth Advisory Council.
