Welcome to our website!

If you're interested in making the world a better place, we need your help! The Copperas Cove Rotary Club (CCRC) is just one of 33,000 Rotary International clubs around the globe. Rotary International is a 1.2 million member organization that focuses its humanitarian efforts in six areas:

·         Peace and Conflict Prevention & Resolution

·         Disease Prevention & Treatment

·         Water & Sanitation

·         Maternal & Child Health

·         Basic Education & Literacy

·         Economic & Community Development

CCRC was chartered on January 6, 1975. We're a small but active club with 20 members, as well as, the proud sponsor of Copperas Cove High School’s Interact Club. We fall under District 5870 and participate in district training and conference activities. Listed below are some of the frequently asked questions we receive.

How can I help the Copperas Cove Rotary Club?

·         Volunteer your time on a service project

·         Make a financial contribution by participating in one of our fundraising events

·         Join our club

How often do you meet?

Our club meets once a week on Thursday at noon (except on holidays or other designated “no meeting” days).

What do you do at meetings?

Our meetings usually include a meal, brief business meeting and an interesting program. Programs feature guests that come from all walks of life who share a wide range of topics. Check out our speakers’ list for upcoming presentations.

Is attendance mandatory?

Rotary encourages attendance at all meetings; however, we're all busy people. One hundred percent attendance isn't mandatory, but we encourage you to attend meetings as often as possible. We try to be flexible, and there are many easy ways to make up missed meetings.

How much are dues and what benefits are included in membership?

Tax deductible dues are $55 per month but can be paid quarterly or annually. Tangible benefits include lunch and a subscription to the Rotarian (a monthly magazine).  Other benefits include helping others, meeting leaders in your community, having fun, gaining leadership experience and working with really wonderful people who share your commitment to making a difference in the world.

What are some your local service projects?

Annual Dictionary Project: Our club distributes approximately 900 dictionaries to Copperas Cove Independent School District third grade students and their teachers to promote basic literacy.

Elementary School Attendance Project: Every six weeks, we conduct a drawing from among elementary students who have perfect attendance. The winner receives a bicycle. The participating school changes from year to year and is selected because they have the lowest attendance rate in the district.

Copperas Cove High School (CCHS) Scholarship: Each year, we award a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to further their education.

Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA): Each summer we sponsor two CCHS students who attend a week-long district leadership camp.

CCHS Interact Club: Interact Clubs are the high school version of Rotary Cubs. The CCHS Interact Club has been active since 2008. Members learn about leadership and service while conducting meetings and fundraising and service projects.

Police Officer of the Month: The first meeting of each month, we recognize one of Copperas Cove Police Department's finest for their commitment and contributions to our community.

First Responder of the Month: The second meeting of each month, we recognize one of the city's Fire Department, EMT or Paramedic personnel for their outstanding service and dedication to our city.

Food for Families: CCRC and CCHS Interact members pitch in the Friday before Thanksgiving to collect food for Copperas Cove families in need.

Recycling Project: The CCHS Interact Club recycles plastic products at the high school.

What are some of your international projects?

·         Polio eradication around the globe
